    Cho vay tiền cũng giống như cho vay niềm tin. Nhưng lòng tin giữa con người với nhau lại giống như một tờ giấy.

Không kiếm công việc nào làm trong nhà, ngồi điều hoà mát mẻ, lại tìm được công việc phải chạy đi chạy lại giữa lúc trời nắng nôi. Mà mỗi tháng nghỉ ba ngày, lương tính ra cũng không đến 7 triệu.

    Nhưng không lâu sau khi kỳ học mới bắt đầu, một cậu bạn học cũ của em tôi phát tin nhắn cầu cứu. Cậu em trai ngốc nghếch của tôi đã cho bạn của mình vay hết số tiền mà nó đã vất vả kiếm được trong 3 tháng hè vừa qua.

    Khi mượn tiền, người bạn học cũ đó đã mạnh miệng thề rằng: “Tao nhất định sẽ trả lại tiền cho mày vào ngày 17 tháng sau”. Kết quả là đến ngày thoả thuận, em trai tôi đã gửi tin nhắn cho cậu bạn kia, rồi mới phát hiện ra mình đã bị chặn từ bao giờ.

    “Em mày nói, nó kiếm số tiền kia không dễ dàng gì, mà nó lại dễ dàng cho thằng bạn cũ mượn”. Mẹ tôi lúc đầu tức giận và bực bội, sau lại càng tỏ ra bất lực: “Đứa nhỏ này, học đến đại học rồi mà còn không biết xã hội này như nào hay sao? Sao có thể cho mượn tiền như không thế này được. Muốn cho vay thì cũng phải biết rõ họ là người như thế nào chứ!”

    Tôi nhớ có một câu: “Nói đến tiền bạc thì làm tổn thương tình cảm, còn nói về tình cảm thì lại làm tiền bạc tổn thương”. Chỉ một câu thôi, tôi cũng biết được mối quan hệ giữa tiền bạc và tình cảm vừa đơn giản lại cực kỳ phức tạp.

    Ngạn ngữ Nhật Bản cũng có một câu: “Vay tiền mặt cười, trả tiền mặt Diêm Vương”. Xã hội này đâu thiếu những con người có hai gương mặt trước và sau khi vay tiền. Khi vay tiền, họ bày ra bộ dạng tươi cười, cúi đầu và hàng vạn lời hứa hẹn, nhưng khi bị đòi tiền thì lại trưng ra khuôn mặt: “Đây là tiền tao vay bằng chính khả năng của tao, tại sao tao phải trả cho nó lúc mày đòi? Bao giờ có thì trả!”

    Cũng chính vì vậy, hành động vay tiền trở thành công cụ tốt nhất để quan sát tính cách của một con người.

    Lòng tin giữa con người với nhau giống như một tờ giấy. Một khi đã bị nhăn, thì dù cố gắng vuốt lại nhưng vẫn sẽ in hằn những dấu vết không thể xoá mờ. Để đảm bảo lòng tin giữa hai người thì không được phép có một vết nhăn nào. Tuy nhiên không phải không được phép cho vay, mà là không được cho vay một cách dễ dàng.

    Nhà văn vĩ đại Shakespeare cũng từng nói: “Đừng cho ai vay mượn, cũng đừng vay mượn ai, vì cho vay thường mất cả tiền lẫn bạn; mà mang công mắc nợ, thì mất dần cả tính tiết kiệm”.

    Suy cho cùng, tiền cũng không phải từ trên trời rơi xuống. Có thể đồng tiền bạn đang vay, là những đồng tiền mồ hôi nước mắt của người khác. Vậy nên, nếu bạn thực sự tốt, tôi sẵn sàng cho bạn mượn. Nếu niềm tin với bạn chỉ có hạn, tôi không thể cho bạn mượn số tiền này.
